Bent Denim is Ben Littlejohn and Dennis Sager -- a duo who make lo-fi "nightmare pop" by sending tracks back and forth between their respective home bases of Nashville and New Orleans.
The band's debut 'Epistolary' EP is out today and available to stream in full on Impose Magazine, along with an in-depth interview and a look at the EP artwork by Young & Sick's Nick Van Hofwegen (Harvest Records). Hofwegen's previous work has been featured in Rolling Stone, The New York Times, Pitchfork, The Fader, and more.
The 'Epistolary' EP is a collection of seven songs that began to take shape in early 2013 with "Periodic Table" -- a track "worthy for the Youth Lagoon intimacy-stakes, with swooshing piano lines and some stirring, minor-key misery lining the seams" (This is Fake DIY). "Periodic Table" premiered on DIY in August and was later featured as Track of the Day on The 405, No Fear of Pop, Earmilk, and Ground Floor Go, and it is now available as a free download.
